This book has taken over my life in the best possible ways. Which very much explains why I’ve been like a ghost here.
If you’ve not been keeping up with my Instagram, which I tend to post to more, I have a projected release date for my first book, Blood Mist & Bone Dust, for February 2025.
From writing the story to designing the cover, decals, and so on, this is something I am proud of on multiple levels.
The premise for the story came from a dream I had when I was fourteen (2008) and had just discovered the band My Chemical Romance. The dream consisted of a story about a brother and sister who were in trouble and it had something to do with the grandfather and that was all I knew. Fast forward fourteen years later, the same emo-crazed nerd sits at her disk as that story unfolds into something beyond her imagination.
I didn’t think I could create anything like this. But here we are. I hope you enjoy it.
Set in Chicago, in the middle of a blood war, you will find yourself face to face with bloodsucking, sarcastic gangsters who may or may not drain you completely for a pretty penny.
I’ve enjoyed everything about writing this story and getting to know the characters, and as I draw near the end of the first installment (yes, first installment), I realize I’ve only scraped the surface of this story.
A forbidden and secret vampire-human romance, steamy and sensual scenes, gunfights in the middle of restaurants, horror-level blood and gore, and more! I look forward to sharing this world with you.
