My rating:
Remi Hayes is cursed. Parents are dead. Brother is a pain in the ass and the man she thought would be her knight in shining armor is just a cheater with plastic. Her uncle’s property in Grimstone might be the saving grace Remi needs to figure out her life and get her stubborn brother to college. But she did not anticipate the run-in rules imposed by her new neighbor – who was looking for his new plaything, or victim…
As far as the smut goes, I could honestly go without how often the word ‘cock’ was used. I liked the overall plot, I was very invested in the mystery that Lark created and the brewing enemies-to-lovers relationship between Remi and the handsomely mysterious Dane Covett. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you will be on the edge of your seat.
I would recommend Grimstone to anyone who is looking for a gothic-stalker-contemporary romance.
