This one hits close to home – in my own backyard of Mesa, Arizona. A missing woman from Mesa Arizona has still not been found since her disappearance in 2020. Her new husband – on the run. And her mother wants some answers.
Sandee Hines has been missing since March of 2020, the very beginning of the global pandemic, a tragedy that may have been overlooked by police. Leaving behind her car in an abandoned lot in Mesa, no word has been heard from Sandee. Sandee Hines did not know of her new husband’s dubious and perverted past, as he was charged with sexual misconduct with a minor back in 2017, according to Mesa police. And it was when she discovered her husband’s dark past and that he was to report in March for trial proceedings, and supposed plea bargain, was when the calls stopped coming.
“Sandee’s mother said she had just had a yard sale, and things seemed normal until she stopped responding to everyone, including her own children, who are in their 20s” says Briana Whitney of Arizona’s Family 305 News in her report given just two days ago. This was unlike Sandee. She would not go three years without a word. Something has to be wrong. Sandee had even stuck by her new husband when he faced the charges. According to Investigation Discovery, she had even paid his bond. Sandee had already been married and had older children. She saw Jason as a second chance at love. And according to her mother, he had treated her right, and she was happy.
Three years later, and still no word, Sandee’s mother, Dinan goes to hang fliers where her daughter was last seen in Mesa Arizona, close to Apache Junction. One cannot imagine the pain and suffering a mother must feel not knowing where her daughter is, and her children without a mother.
We must bring Sandee home to her mother and children, and we must find Jason Hines and bring him to justice. His MO has been to seek single mothers on dating websites. Hines had been suspected of misconduct with a minor since 2013, but wasn’t charged until 2017.
